Our Nursery

Hollytree Nursery has a welcoming culture and from the minute of stepping inside you can feel there is a warm welcoming atmosphere with approachable caring staff. The nursery genuinely takes an interest in your child’s learning and development and staff are enthusiastic each step of the way. We celebrate your child’s success with certificates, star of the week trophy and enjoying sharing special news and events in your child and families life.

There is an emphasis on outdoor learning and staff in each playroom plan for experiences outdoors every day. We have triple buggies for walks with the babies and are lucky to be in an environment where parks, woodland areas and local libraries are available to our service.

The playrooms are grouped by age and each has their own unique name:

*Babies 0-2 years + Squirrels and Foxes
*Toddlers 2-3years + Robins
Preschool 3-5 years Owls

*Children move once per year in summer depending on when child’s birthday falls this decides when they move to next playroom

Our Rooms

Squirrels & Foxes

If your child joins us under the age of two they would join the Squirrels or Foxes playroom both on ground floor in each building.
The routine adopts that of the home environment where staff work closely with parents at settling in and get to know the routine of your child at home.
Our under 2 playrooms work with staff to child ratio 1:3.
Children are supported and encouraged in their early learning through a wide range or experiences in the curriculum.

Robins

The Robins playroom is situated in the Bungalow next door to the main building for children aged 2-3 years +.
Our Robins playroom works with staff to child ration of 1:5 , children have direct access to the enclosed garden space and are given the freedom in the large playroom to explore and learn through a varied curriculum meeting their individual needs.

The Owls

The Owls playroom is located on the second floor of the main building with the staff to child ratio being 1:8.
Children are given the choice of two large playrooms where they can be independent in their learning and select resources and experiences of interest to them.
